Spanner, John
Banquet of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London
John Spanner was the retiring Master Glover of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London in 2003 and gifted a pair of these gloves to guests at the Banquet at the end of his year of office. John Spanner wrote of his choice (in 2018): "Because they are pretty cool and chic, reflecting the simple elegance of my lifestyle. And because they are black and white (not supposed to be light grey), the throbbingly excitingly vibrant colours of the Glovers. Mrs S has a pair of red/black gloves, in similar style, we thought they were pretty neat for the glovers (with a bijou colour change)".
