Description

King James I’s hunting gloves. A pair of menswear gauntlet gloves, in dyed doeskin leather; with applied triangular panels of red silk embroidered in a design of coiling blooms, fruits and hearts worked in silver metal thread, edged with a fringe of dark pink silk floss and twisted gold metal thread. There are three silk ribbon loops at the opening side of the glove, all edged with gold metal thread bobbin lace.
